The Department of Digital Systems covers the areas of digital/network services, broadband networks, as well as the security of digital systems. The University of Piraeus Research Center (UPRC) facilitates the research activities of university members in different programmes and initiatives. Driven by the evolution of the e-business area, in 2008, the Department invested on the organization of a new Postgraduate Degree Programme, on “Digital Systems Security”,and the assembly of a research laboratory: System Security Laboratory (SSL).
